Congressman Major Owens is sponsoring hearings of the Congressional Progressive Caucas on the national crisis of Pacifica Radio on Tuesday, May 15th from 2-5 P.M. in Room 2262 of the Rayburn Building in Washington D.C.

These hearings will provide a national stage focusing on the core issues of governance and deviation of Pacifica from its core mission. In addition to Congressman Major Owens, Pacifica activists from throughout the country will testify, along with Pacifica Management. The hearings are open to the public and it is essential that the vibrant community whose protests have sparked this hearing be well represented in the audience.

The New York City protest community is facilitating transportation to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning, May 15th. If enough are going and express this interest by Wednesday, May 9th, a bus will be hired. If not, we can all leave together from Port Authority. Time is short.

If you are interested in joining such a group leaving together to add our strength to the forces urging condemnation of Pacifica policies, please contact Arlene at the Pacifica Campaign offices as soon as possible. She can be reached in the afternoons from 2-6 PM at 646-230-9588, or leave a message at other times.
