According to a reliable source, Judge Sabraw has approved the request from Susan Darrow, KPFT LAB Chair, to appoint former Board member George Barnstone to the iPNB as a KPFT LAB member. barnstone is a non-practicing lawyer who works for Vallone and Associates Real Estate in Houston. This then is the third iteration of a Houston real estate salesman on the Board. Barnstone was stacked on the Board on the notorious Sept. 19th "meeting", as a selection of the hostile former majority. He has a clear conflict of interest as he shares a position in the ACLU Houston Chapter Board fo Directors with KPFT Program Director Mary Ramirez. Barnstone is also known to oppose the termination of Ganter and Ramirez. Apparently Barnstone has been politicking to get back on the Board after the hostile former majority dumped him in favor of Dick Gregory. Barnstone voted with the Pacifica reformers at the Nov. Board meeting in DC. A longer report on barnstone is forthcoming. ------- End of forwarded message ------- |
