Hello All -- Because the next executive director may have more influence over the future of Pacifica than any one of us can, I apologize to all of you for not thinking fast enough to prevent Marion Barry from being chair of the search committee.

That, said, I request your help. We need to hire an ED soon, so that many decisions can be transferred to him/her and avoid our awkward voting sytem of sending things to the judge -- evaluating station managers & finding replacements for those that may be fired, getting the affiliate system back up and running, dealing with PNN & the stringers' strike, etc., etc., etc. So many things are in total ruin!

So, if you know someone who might be qualified would you please contact him/her to find out if s/he is interested and, if so, ask him/her to contact me at 707-526-2867 -- or else get their contact info to me so I can call them.

We need a pool of candidates to choose from and I appreciate any help you can give in finding them.
