The March issue of Houston Radio Report
has just been published:
This issue celebrates KPFT's 32nd birthday, with a variety of articles dealing with ideas for KPFT's future direction, as well as reprints of old KPFT Folio articles that reveal KPFT and Pacifica's roots. Tying it all together is an interview with David Crossley, KPFT's manager during 1972, who outlines much of that early history and provides his own insight on where KPFT should now be heading at this juncture. Also in this issue are updates on what has been happening with the Pacifica Foundation and locally at KPFT. Our stable of writers continue to contribute their personal opinions in full page articles. A little poetry, some activist news, a bit of humor and our back page Community Resources section round out this celebratory issue. Our online issue provides a large selection of articles from this new issue as well as some photos and graphics. But for the full effect, you'll want to receive the actual newsprint version of the Houston Radio Report. We do offer a complete set of the five issues we've published so far for a mere $2.00 to cover postage costs. Details are available on the website. Also, don't miss this week's article about KPFT in the Sunday Houston Chronicle: "Zest" arts and entertaiment supplement cover story, Identity Crisis: KPFT struggles to find its voice http://www.chron.com/content/chronicle/ae/zest/index.html |
