Paid staffing levels at WBAI will be reduced in fiscal year 2006 in order to reduce expenses.

Reportedly, the following paid positions will be eliminated as of 9/30/05:

• Assistant to the Program Director (Shirley Irons)
• Outreach Director (Bok-keem Nyerere)
• Morning News Anchor (Leslie George)
• Development Assistant

These paid positions will be reduced in hours:

• Arts Director (Janet Coleman)
• Production Engineer (Dred Scott Keyes)
• Operations director (Peter Bochan)
• Operation assistants (Sidney Smith and Max Schmid)
